“But WHY. Why must your shirt rip. Constantly.”
Hey, at least this time it was partially on. Besides, he hasn’t ripped it off in a while.
If he doesn’t rip his shirt or destroy his clothes in some way, he won’t get as much screen time…

You know what, I really like Young Justice’s Superman. I’ve seen so many people saying that they hate him for being such an asshole in the show, and that kind of saddens me.
One of the complains that a lot of people have about Superman is that he’s so perfect. That he has no inner conflict like Batman does, and to some, that makes him boring.
But in YJ, Clark does have that conflict. He is actually scared and doesn’t know how to react. So he distances himself from Superboy, which is quite a natural reaction and seen with a lot of guys that become fathers unexpectedly. Now usually, I would be angry at the guy for not taking responsibility, but not with Clark.
Why not?
Because he had absolutely no part in Superboy’s creation. His DNA was stolen from him, completely without his knowledge. So not only was he more than a little surprised when he first saw cloneboy, he probably also felt incredibly violated. Add that to the fact that Superboy was created to basically replace Superman and I can understand why Clark doesn’t know what to do with the entire situation.Don’t get me wrong, I want them to solve their issues. I think it could be really interesting. But I think it’s natural that Superman needs time to adjust to the idea of a clone of him walking around. I’m also am not angry at Clark at all for being so distant. Personally, I don’t even think he was being that much of an ass. The way he acted in Schooled was, in my eyes, more awkward than anything else. Clark is not comfortable with the whole thing.
I understand that it’s hard for Superboy too, really, I do. It must be awful to be evaded by a person that you admire so much. I feel for the guy, but I also feel for Clark.
I hope the show will develop their relationship a lot more. And if I’m not right by the end of the show, that Clark just needs a bit of time to adjust to the idea (because really, new fathers usually get 6 to 7 months to adjust), I can always change my opinion again~I apologize if this all is a little messy and confusing, just wanted to get my thoughts out!
i like this. clark is my favourite and i was a bit threw off by how he dealt with superboy at first - but i can definatly see why now. once he gets used to it, i can see him being wonderful and helping superboy lots and being a great daddy :)
plus i still want a ma and pa cameo where they just eat apple pie with clark and conner <3
